Hello, I am Aiden Jhadol (also known as Commander Consortia), and this is where I will share my experiences exploring the deep edges of space. Currently posting a log update every Friday at 12 am UGC (Universal Galactic Time). Or just whenever I can find the time.

Entry 045

I have made it to the IC 4634 nebula which took some time. Being out here is quite strange. I’m “above” the regular galactic plane, and “below” me are billions of stars, and “above” me is…blackness. Nothingness. The few stars that are in the distance are so faint I can barely see them, but most of the bright objects in the sky I can see are actually very distant galaxies.

The nebula itself is quite green on the inside, like the NGC 6565 nebula I went to before this one. I still managed to get a unique shot though! The picture below is of a gas giant being lit from behind by it’s star.

Entry 044

I’ve just arrived at the NGC 6565 nebula, and it’s a lot greener on the inside than it is on the outside! I found this wonderful gas giant that looks purple, but I believe it’s that colour because of the blue (almost purple) star. Whatever it’s “true” colour is hard to say…if “true” colours are even real! Human eyes can only see so much…

Inner Orion Spur | Pyramio JX-T E3-11

Entry 043

I’m in the Pyramio JX-T E3-11 nebula, which has a black hole as the main star! I have actually managed to get a decent image of this black hole, as well as pretty good images of the outside of the nebula, since I found a system pretty close to the nebula that gave me some good shots.

I’d also like to mention that this image of the black hole was taken from a video that I shot, and if you’d like to see the video, you can go here. I’ll be posting videos there of some of my journey towards the centre of the galaxy, so if you enjoy my log updates…considering following me over on my youtube channel!

Inner Orion Spur | Hen 2-2 15

Entry 042

I’m inside the NGC 6337 nebula! This planetary nebula isn’t particularly colourful, however it is a unique shape, being somewhat ring shaped like the Ring and Fine Ring nebulae. I quite enjoy it’s appearance!

Entry 041

I’m currently inside the Little Ghost Nebula! It looks rather similar to the NGC 6563 nebula I visited not too long ago, but there is a very cool purple planet in this nebula which I landed on and took some photos of. I was also able to get a better image of the outside of the nebula since there was a system quite close to the nebula.

Entry 040

I have arrived at the Bug Nebula, and I must say…this nebula is such a beautiful blue. Although there’s only 2 planets in this system, I could spend ours inside of this nebula, just looking at the pretty blue gas clouds…

Inner Orion Spur | NGC 6563 Sector KC-V C2-1

Entry 039

I’ve made it to the NGC 6563 nebula, and this planetary nebula actually had a star inside of it that I could travel to! I do think, however, that the nebula looks better from the outside than it does on the inside.

Inner Orion Spur | Red Spider Sector UJ-Q B5-0

Entry 038

I have finally made it to the Red Spider nebula! I already passed one of the stations on the way. I am only able to get one picture of this nebula, as it is another small planetary nebula, and there are no stars inside of it. Like the Ring Nebula, I have had to use AI to enlarge and enhance this image.

Inner Orion Spur | Sol

Entry 037

I have come back from showing my friend the nebulae I thought he should see, and I’m now back in Sol, about to head out onto my journey (for real, this time!) I took a few miscellaneous images with I thought were rather beautiful.

Inner Orion Spur | Orion Dark Region ZE-A E6

Entry 036

While I said in my previous log update that I wasn’t going to take any pictures, I did end up taking one after all! My friend and I were going towards the Flame nebula (a nebula I’d never actually been to before) we came across a system that had a dwarf star orbiting very close to a bigger star. I took the photo below.

I also took him to see a black hole, and I went closer to this black hole than I’d ever been to any black hole before…and it was the trippiest, wildest experience I’d ever had. If I can set up a video feed, I’ll have to show the experience. No picture can do it justice.

Inner Orion Spur | Ring Sector NI-S B4-0

Entry 035

I managed to make it to the Ring Nebula in a very quick manner! I sped my way as fast as I could.

Unfortunately, I could only take one photo, as the system I am currently in is the only system close enough for a good picture. I have had to enhance and enlarge the image, as it was quite small in the sky.

As for the reason I decided to get here so quickly, it’s because I’m going to be returning to inhabited space. A friend of mine has just acquired his pilot’s license and is curious about space exploration, and I’ve offered to take him on a tour to Barnard’s Loop, as it’s quite close to inhabited space and there are an abundance of wonderful nebulae in that region.

I will probably not take any photos, as I already did that 2 years ago (and you can see my previous logs and the pictures I took), but I know it will be wonderful to go back there again.

Inner Orion Spur | Mammon | Mammon Monitoring Facility

Entry 034

I have made it to the Mammon system, and this nebula is quite beautiful, both from the outside and the inside! I’m also at the first station in my trip, and like the Witch Head Science Centre that I visited 2 years ago, this station is also within an asteroid, within the rings of a planet. It is a beautiful place to be.

Next up will be…the Ring Nebula! (Not the same as the Fine Ring nebula I visited a few logs ago! The Ring nebula is very far away and also a completely different colour).

Inner Orion Spur | Fine Ring Sector LI-S B4-1

Entry 033

I’ve just arrive at the Fine Ring Nebula, surprisingly more pretty from the outside than it is on the inside, but nonetheless, this planetary nebula is still very beautiful and unique. I’m a bit of a sucker of purple nebulae!

Next up is Mammon, an inhabited system inside a planetary nebula!

Inner Orion Spur | PSR J1856-3754

Entry 032

I have arrived at my next destination…a neutron star! There’s actually TWO of them in this system. I am covered head to toe in the brightest blue light imaginable…these things twirl and spin so incredibly fast it’s not funny! You really have to see it for yourself to believe it.

Next up is the Fine Ring Nebula…a nebula I’m very excited for!

Inner Orion Spur | BRSO 14

Entry 031

First planetary nebula of the journey! This one is the R Coronae Australis Nebula. Most of the things I’m going to be visiting will be planetary nebula, so strap in for some tiny but cool nebulae!

Next up will be a very special star…
