It has been a very long time since I have updated this journal of mine, and I feel a little bit bad about that, but I've just been so busy that I haven't had time to do any proper birdwatching, though it seems my uncle has had better luck than me with bird encounters, as he supposedly saw two Red-Tailed Black Cockatoos recently, which is a rare bird to see in our area. We mostly see the Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoos in our area, so for my uncle to see the red ones is a rare sight indeed. He apparently saw the iconic red of the underside of their tails which is how he knew it wasn't the yellow cockatoos, so I guess I'll just have to take his word for it.

Another bird that my uncle saw, that he managed to take some photos and videos of, was a Silvereye, which was injured as it had ran into his window. He was unsure of the species, and my mum and I figured out the exact species for him. I'm going to be drawing some of these birds here, because I want more bird drawings and I've been meaning to draw the Yellow-Tail for a while now.
