It has been a while since I have made an entry, but I saw something interesting yesterday. I saw a female Magpie poking at a bunch of sticks on the ground. I believe she may have been trying to find suitable sticks for a nest. She spent a lot of time pecking at a specific stick which was actually a very thin branch with multiple sticks that, well, branched off from the main one. She was trying really hard to break it apart (to no avail) because she really wanted that specific stick, and she ended up just taking the whole thing with her! It was quite funny to watch, especially as she ran away with a slightly-too-big branch in her beak!
