??? time (never wrote it down lol)
I’ve not made an update in a while, but that’s because I’ve not seen any new or interesting bird-related things until recently.
I’ve heard a lot of birds that I can’t easily recognise, but I think they’re all birds that I’ve been able to identify before, mostly by sight. We’re in spring now, so there’s a lot more food to go around for the birdies.
I was also on a walk with my mum to the bank recently, and I heard some rustling in the bushed to my left, behind the fence of an abandoned house, and my mum said it was probably just a lizard or something, but what I saw definitely was not a lizard! It was actually a baby bird! I know it was a baby because birds often have really distinct beaks and faces when they are babies. It was most likely a baby Starling, since my mum saw an adult Starling not too far away from us, watching what we were doing. I also looked at baby Starling images on the internet when I got home, and they looked really similar to the baby bird that I saw.
On a slightly different not, but still relating to baby birds, the adult Magpies that we see often in our garden have a new baby! I have no idea where the other baby went, but the almost-adult son I believe has finally been chased off by his parents to fend for himself.
