A Monarch butterfly!

Ummm new butterfly time! Today I saw this butterfly and gasped because I hadn’t seen it before in my area, and I took a bunch of photos and videos of it. Though, said photos aren’t of great quality because this butterfly was all the way at the TOP of the tree in the front garden, and was perched at an angle that made it difficult for me to photograph it properly. These photos are crunchy. They’re the best I’ve got. But they’re of a fricking Monarch Butterfly !!!! We’ve never seen a Monarch before so to see it up in the tree was wonderful. I wasn’t sure if it was a Monarch or not at first but I diligently went over all the little details that I COULD see and found that it matched pretty much exactly with the Monarch butterfly. I never thought I’d see a Monarch like, ever, but I’m so glad that I did!!

EDIT: My mum was just outside and managed to see the butterfly again and took a short video, and we’re able to confirm that the butterfly is a male based on the small dot on the wing that only the males have!
