A monarch and a moth

Pictures taken 12/03/2026

Although these pictures were taken a month ago, I only just got around to identifying the bugs in these photos and gifs (yes, gifs! And really nice ones too!) The first picture is of a Monarch butterfly, and the second is of a moth that I believe might be a moth called Amata leucacma. I'm not entirely sure about this particular identification, but having compared this picture to a LOT of other pictures of various Wasp Moths (Ctenuchini), my picture matches the closest with the Amata leucacma moth. I could be wrong though, lol. There are a lot of very similar looking moths under the Wasp Moth family. But I'm pretty good at picking out details that other people aren't able to, sooooo yeah.

Alsooo here are the gifs :3 I would've had them be videos but they wouldn't have had any sound because I would've removed the sound on purpose because you could hear my neighbour literally going HAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUWWWKKKKKK TUUUAHHH and coughing up spit and everything but like the worst and loudest and most elongated and horrible version of it ever.
